Celebrated Earth Day with us Saturday April 21st at any of the Noodle Box locations. We have partnered with the TLC and Phillips Beer in hopes of raising money to support the TLC’s  “Wild hills and Beaches” campaign.

Earth day is the largest, most celebrated environmental event worldwide and each year The Noodle Box has participated by turing off our lights for last hour of service, between 8-9pm for an intimate candle lit late dinner. This year with the support of our amazing franchisees (Homer St, Langford, Sidney and Uptown)  we are taking it one more step by donating $1 for every noodle box company wide! Phillips Beer has also stepped up by matching our $1 for every pint sold, which means $2 will be donated for every single pint sold that night. So you could come in and buy a dinner and have a delicous pint of beer and be donating $3 to the TLC to help protect our special nature reserves. The TLC is a non for profit group that has been helping protect places like the Sooke Pot Holes, Jordan River and many more, check them out at this link TLC.

“More than 6 million Canadians join 1 billion people in over 170 countries in staging events and projects to address local environmental issues. Nearly every school child in Canada takes part in an Earth Day activity.
Environmental challenges abound as our daily actions pollute and degrade the fragile environment that humans and wildlife depend on to survive.
First launched as an environmental awareness event in the United States in 1970, Earth Day (April 22) is celebrated as the birth of the environmental movement.
Earth Day is a powerful catalyst for change. The first Earth Day, spearheaded by Wisconsin Governor Gaylord Nelson and Harvard University student Denis Hayes, involved 20 million participants in teach-ins that addressed decades of environmental pollution. The event inspired the US Congress to pass clean air and water acts, and establish the Environmental Protection Agency to research and monitor environmental issues and enforce environmental laws.

The Noodle Box is proud to partner with AIDS Vancouver Island  and Vancouver for its annual event, Dining Out For Life.

We have been participating in this amazing event several years running, and ask you to come out and support this organization by dining out this Thursday March 29th.

We will have a delicious dinner menu of our chefs creation made just for this event. The most amazing part is that 25% of all sales after 5pm will be go to AIDS Vancouver Island. As well, $1 from every Stella Artois  sold will go to the organization.

The art program was developed in order to provide a free space for local artists to showcase and sell their work. The Noodle Box has always been very integrated with the local art and music scene, through our staff and customers.  This program has allowed us to continue growing in that community while also giving back to it. Its a win-win situation because we get to have a rotating art collection coming through our doors and we also get to build new relationships with amazing people.

So come in a check it out — maybe buy a piece for your home or as gift for someone you love, remember all proceeds go back to the artists so they can continue making the world beautiful.

The Sidney Noodle Box opened in Early 2011 and right from the start it was apparent who our fans were. The first night we opened we were flooded by young people eager to have their noodle box fix (and of course their amazing parents who brought them there)! Which was wonderful for us to see.

So when we saw that the Panorama Rec Centre had a teen lounge group we said “hey here is an opportunity to give back to our community”. We worked with the teen lounge coordinator to provide between 35-60 young people a healthy meal while at one of their teen lounge special event nights.

February is traditionally the coldest and well..the lamest moth of the year. Lets face it we are all trying to stay warm and longing for sunshine and beaches. For the last two years we have been offering a delicious way to warm up — slow cooked curries!  The art of slow cooking has always been a passion of ours, it brings out the best in the ingredients and spices and allows our chefs who normally are focused on stir fry, which could be looked at as the opposite of slow cooking, some time to really flex a new culinary technique.

The Malaysian Lamb Curry is one of our regular menu items and is excellent paired with a glass of red wine -also good for warming up, but we want to give you more choices, so every day at every location we will be offering some sort of finely crafted slow cooked curry.

Look for some of these favourites, Pork Vindaloo, Beef Rengdang, Butter Chicken Curry, Halibut and Spinach Curry, Kerela Curried Squid, Malaysian Fruit Curry and many more!
