The Georgia Straight’s annual Golden Plate Awards have been announced as Vancouverites voted, in 138 categories, for their favourite places to eat and drink around town.
The Noodle Box Kitsilano was among the winners selected by readers in an on-line survey conducted earlier this year, and was awarded First place for Best Noodles in the City!

On March 11 an 8.9 magnitude earthquake hit the Northern coast of Japan. The earthquake, the worst in Japan’s history, triggered a tsunami warning across 20 countries along the Pacific coast including the coast of British Columbia.
Thousands of people are reported dead, and many more are injured or missing. The earthquake has caused fires and severe damage to buildings, leaving 4.4 million households without electricity.

At 8:30 PM on Saturday 26th March 2011, lights will switch off around the world for Earth Hour, the Noodle Box will be among the millions switching off that night in support of this increasingly important cause.
